Awesome to say the least.
Awesome to say the least.
This is by far the best, and most unique, wallpaper Ive ever seen. Its practical, since the actual time is displayed; its handsome: the graphics are of a high definition, and well rendered; and its relaxing. I like to keep this up when Im at my desk reading for long stretches. The ticking clock is present, but subtle enough to go from memory when youre focused. Then again, if it really bugs you, there is the option to turn off the ticking, or to decrease its volume.
Thought the lite version was terrific, but this one adds the personal touch. Its beautiful, even haunting.
It advertises itself as a wallpaper and screensaver. While it offers both modes, you have to manually turn on both from an icon in the menu bar, the "traditional" wallpaper and screensaver modes as we know them do not exist. I wish they would make true wallpaper and screensavers available, then Id give it five stars.
…absolutely beautiful! Note: Took some time to figure this out, but I think if you have your, Screen Saver preference set up in, Hot Corners it gets glitchy. Otherwise, I now have it to open automatically in the, Login Items in my, Account Preferences. Its working great! Lovely job with this app… just mesmerizing! I would love to see more of this developers work in the App store. Some of the other screensavers are pure genius.
It looks wondeful and doesnt seem to slow my macbook down at all, I wish the nature sounds were a little more realistic but other than that Ive really enjoyed it.
As someone who needs to constantly keep track of time, this is a work of art. Absolutely love it.
Excellent app well very reasonably priced at $1.99. I was looking for a active desktop and was going to go with a aquarium for 10x as much then I found this. Much better than I ever expected for the price. Give the lite version a try and see if it works for you. I simply love it.
This is a very pretty application. I love just sitting there watching it. My big problem is with the so-called "screen saver" mode. Its completely independent from your actual system screen saver, as set in your preferences. If you have your security set to lock the screen when the screen saver activates, this application does not honor it. If you have hot-corners set up to activate the screen saver, this application does not honor it. I would love to run this on my work computer, but because of the (lack of) security settings, Im stuck with the built-in screen savers.
I have seen the Win versions of this companys software and they are good. The Macs release of similar titles are spectacular in comparison! Ive used the lite versions, which are incredibly free and easy. I decided to purchase all of the full versions, and Im not sorry I did. Hey guys at the developers, get us a mega-pack of screen savers when you can! Ill definitely be on the list to buy them!!
It has such an elegance and whimsy about it. Several combinations to make a new desktop/screensaver over and over. Well done!
I really like this app. The gold coloring is really bright and cool, and I like the pendant because you can put funny pictures of stuff in it.
This is a great app. I use it on my desktop and I like the feature of placing a personal picture in the wallpaper. Great APP!
Gteat little app. Heres how I use it: I set it to activate as a screensaver after X minutes. Then, at Y minutes, my usual screensaver kicks in, BUT I have my security etting set so that a password is required to return from the system screensaver. This way, I get a few minutes of this nice looking saver which can be easily recovered from, but if I see my system saver, I know Im better locked down. Why all of this bother? Because I often use my MacBook in semi-public work settings and want tiered, easily managed privacy options. And, of course, Im a geek.
its works it looks amazing everyone loves it.
I dont buy applications like the automated 3D wallpaper. Or, whatever you call it. I looked at this when it was on some list, perhaps top ten or something. I loaded it for free and really liked the quality. I love the old gold pocket watch with the waist pocket bob on the end. Ive got my wifes photo in it. Its very nice. And, I can tell the time from across the room. Its very peaceful. I like to include in some of my occasional relaxing techniques. Id say get it and be happy. It does all it says. Several months into it and I havent noticed any conflicts. Good stuff.
I installed this on my 11" Air and thought it was very good. Today I put it on om 27" iMac and WOW!!! The detail is fantastic. Its mesmerizing. Now I need will pwoer to stop looking at the desktop and actually start doing some work!
It really is a breathtaking background app. Its quiet and the graphsics, although startlingly real, are not distracting from whatever work youve got going on. A few options to play with for sound and visuals. And its nice to have a "locket" into which you can place a photo (it gets sepiad to match the color tones in the background). At $1.99, you really cant go wrong. The free version gives you everything except: 1) the option to change color tones btwn "gold" and "silver" 2) the locket and photo So Id suggest starting with free and either upgrading if you -really- want the photo option, -really- want the gold option, or (as I did) -really- think the developers deserve some money for their hard work. I was far MORE impressed with the paid version of dolphins, giving you more bang for your buck over the free version.
Simple but very pretty graphics. A joy to use. Its a shame to have to open windows that cover it.
Just a cute little thing for your desktop, but isnt it worth it if it makes you smile when you see it? You can do more than turn the sound on or off- it lets you choose which sounds effects to leave on and which ones to turn off (water drops, water rushing, etc.) And you can put your photo- or somebody you loves photo- in the locket.
